If you bring coordination skills and experience from development of medical devices, and you are looking for a job where you are the one to set the direction in exciting projects, we have your perfect match right here. You will become the designated Usability Expert in our agile Design & Connectivity team based at the LEO Pharma HQ in Ballerup, Greater Copenhagen. Influence, impact and exciting challenges with great potential are cornerstones in this position.
Development of user centric devices and packaging solutions
Basically, your job is to enable LEO Pharma to develop products with maximum benefit for the users – and if you are like the rest of us you find it highly inspiring to take a company like LEO to the next level within user centric design. Your focus area will be development of future, innovative, packaging and medical devices – some including connectivity
As Usability Engineer you are the one to link patient knowledge and product realisation by transforming insights from the team’s Anthropologist into tangible ideas. You will play a key role in basic design, product maturing and final hand over to production. You will:
Become the team’s Usability Engineering responsible Transform insights into products – from first idea to final product Ensure required level of documentation in area of expertise Handle own project deliverables – incl. management of a great number of stakeholders Manage and coordinate with external partners
The job is also a strong foundation for a future career within high-level technical project coordination/management – if you find that career path interesting.
3+ years’ experience within development of medical devices
You have a university degree as Design Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, UX Engineer or the like. This is backed by at least three years’ experience from working with development of medical equipment/devices. As part of this you have experience from human factor engineering studies, and if you additionally bring regulatory experience (FDA) it is a bonus. Ideally, you have experience from big pharma/bigger corporations where you have learned how to navigate in a complex stakeholder landscape.
As our department’s representative in major projects you must be very outgoing and have the ability to identify and include the right stakeholders at the right time. As part of this you will need your ability to gather and turn multiple input into conclusions and recommendations – and present those in an easy understandable way.
About Design & Connectivity – your new team
You will join 6 highly skilled R&D professionals within the Devices area. We develop innovative solutions within medical devices, digital health and packaging (primary & secondary) to both patients and caregivers. We work systematically with innovation and base our processes on design thinking and system engineering – experimentation and early testing is our foundation.
We work in an informal environment characterised by a common drive for making a significant difference for people with skin diseases.
