Where do you come in?
As our new Learning & Development Executive, you will take part in driving the VIKING Academy in partnership with colleagues across the organization to ensure continued success in developing our people.

You will be accountable for ensuring efficient, state-of-the-art user-oriented training. In addition, you will play a key role in driving the continuous improvement of the Academy programs. This is done by having a close collaboration with identified stakeholders including following up on learning effectiveness and evaluations to ensure that our learning solutions continue to reflect business needs.

You will be a part of our Global HR Department located in Esbjerg where you will report to our Global HR Director.

Primary tasks and responsibilities:

  • Development and implementation of our Learning and Development strategy.
  • Together with managers in the business continuously identify development needs and design training programs within the organization, based on the strategic direction of VIKING
  • Monitor and review the progress of Training and Development programs through questionnaires and discussions with managers
  • Amend and revise programs as necessary, in order to adapt to changes occurring in the work environment
  • Keep up to date with developments in training including research in new technologies and methodologies in workplace learning
  • Liaise with external partners and outsource training, as needed
  • Responsible for course Administration of existing and new courses
  • Produce training materials and training for specific in-house courses

We expect:

  • Proven track record in similar position including working with Learning Management Systems and developing content for Corporate Training Academies.
  • An educational background of bachelor level in a related field
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations etc.)
  • Proficient utilizing Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
  • Excellent organizational skills including ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external business partners and staff at all levels
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Danish and English
