Strategic sustainability manager for company with ambitious sustainability agenda aiming to be best in class.

About the team and internal partners
You will be in a strategic key position with a significant impact on Aasted's further sustainable development and with direct reference to our CEO. You will be assigned a study assistant as your Sustainability Assistant. As a sponsor of sustainability initiatives and projects across the organisation, you work closely with the organisation’s line management and in close collaboration with other core functions within sustainable development, including organisation HSE, HR, Legal and Quality. An external Sustainability Advisory board will be connected to Aasted, and here you will be able to seek qualified advice and sparring.
About the job
As Sustainability Manager, you will be responsible for operating, developing, and maturing the existing strategic sustainability initiatives and projects that go across the organisation's value chain and at all levels of the organisation.
The initiatives cover, among other things, the integration of sustainability in supplier collaborations for product development as well as diversity and inclusion initiatives. You can read more about this in our latest Corporate Responsibility Report.
Furthermore, you will be responsible for identifying and initiating the projects that support Aasted's sustainable development and business in the best possible way. A large part of your role consists of communicating and mobilizing employees and managers, raising the level of knowledge about sustainability on an ongoing basis, and breaking down complex sustainable development projects so that they become manageable and operationalizable for the organisation.

You have strong mobilisation skills and manage to inspire and mobilise people around you to participate in the further sustainable development of Aasted. You can generate and develop original ideas and innovate and stand up for values, make decisions and act decisively and, if necessary, challenge and disrupt existing structures and views. You are patient even when it takes time for to seeing results. You thrive in having a high degree of autonomy and self-determination, and you manage to keep track of many projects at the same time.

- Further development of existing initiatives as well as identification and initiation of new ones
- Mobilisation of managers and employees
- Development of the external sustainability communication in collaboration with the commercial part of Aasted
- Aasted’s annual Corporate Responsibility Report
- Monitor and staying up to date on new legislation related to our industries and keep track of tendencies and requirements from customers and other stakeholders
- Internal communication and news about sustainability, such as sustainability initiatives, etc. on our intranet
About you

Your professional qualifications
- You have 3-5 years of experience from similar positions or similar projects
- You have a relevant education that gives you a starting point for keeping an overview of the rapid development of the sustainability landscape, enabling you to understand and analyse requirements, legislation and opportunities that support the company's sustainable development and commercial business
- You have in-depth knowledge of sustainability reporting and ESG key figures
- You are familiar with circular economy and circular strategies and principles (including life cycle analysis and life cycle management) that can inspire our product development organisation and you know new business models
- It can be an advantage if you have dealt with sustainability in production companies
- It is an advantage if you have experience with any of the following sustainability frameworks: B Corp Impact Assessment, EcoVadis, Future Fit Business Benchmark, GRI, SBTi, TCFD, and/or UN Guiding Principles on Human Rights
- You are fluent in oral and written Danish and English
