Professional for Innovation Team

About the department
In Biopharm, we produce, maintain and improve all of Novo Nordisk’s non-insulin products. Biopharm QC handles chemical, microbiological and biological testing for Biopharm’s product portfolio. Biopharm QC consists of around 300 employees in three different geographical sites (Gentofte, Kalundborg and Hillerød).

The Innovation team consists of six people and is placed in Gentofte. The team plays an important part in setting direction for the technological development in Biopharm QC.

The position
In this position, you will be the local expert in utilizing the capabilities of the LIMS-system, as well as developing automation solutions for LIMS, and connecting analytical equipment to LIMS. A thorough understanding of LIMS software and the interface between hardware and software is needed, as well as the drive and curiosity to independently familiarize yourself with different analytical equipment. You will be expected to be able to work closely together with chemists and laboratory technicians in developing solutions. Further tasks could be eg. Big Data-handling from analytical equipment, creating models for predictive analytics, and automating the data approval process after analysis.

You will be expected to prepare business cases for projects, as well being able to plan and execute projects within deadline.

You are able to communicate clearly, open and honest securing the interests of both Biopharm QC Chemistry and our stakeholders. You will be expected to interact with our stakeholders, such as QA, operations, and other functional areas across Novo Nordisk. You will drive the implementation of solutions for the benefit of the company.

In the job, you will work with all parts of the Biopharm QC, with analysis ranging from chemical to microbiological testing, providing you with the opportunity to gain a thorough understanding of the supply chain within Biopharm and establish a wide network within the organisation.

Qualifications
You have an academic degree (cand. scient., cand. it., engineer or similar) preferably supplemented with experience from a similar position. You are familiar with GMP and the requirements of the authorities in the pharmaceutical industry and you are familiar with the basic LEAN methodologies.

As a person, you have an analytical mind-set and you are able to get to the core of a problem, while maintaining overview of the big picture. You are a self-starter who thrives with driving tasks independently. Your engagement and positive attitude comes naturally and you are able to create overview and execute on many different tasks at the time while prioritizing your efforts optimally. You work in a structured and systematic way and are used to deliver according to targets while motivating and inspiring your colleagues.
