ALK is looking for a Research Laboratory Technician to work in the Immunology Department of Translational Research. The Immunology Department comprises human in-vitro and mouse in-vivo immunology and has eight team members.
You will be an active member of the team and, in this position, you will assist in research focused on allergic diseases and the mode of action of allergen specific Immunotherapy. You will contribute to the planning and execution of laboratory experiments within immunology and allergy research.
Responsibilities:
With your technical background and support, you will be further strengthening our experimental research platform with novel, state-of-the-art human in-vitro and ex-vivo approaches.

ALK is looking for a Research Laboratory Technician to work in the Immunology Department of Translational Research. The Immunology Department comprises human in-vitro and mouse in-vivo immunology and has eight team members.
You will be an active member of the team and, in this position, you will assist in research focused on allergic diseases and the mode of action of allergen specific Immunotherapy. You will contribute to the planning and execution of laboratory experiments within immunology and allergy research.
Responsibilities:
- Culturing of human cells (PBMCs and T-cell lines to support human cell based immunological studies
- Performing experiments using Flow Cytometry, ELISA, Proliferation, Fluorospot, Multiplex based cytokine analysis (MSD/Magpix)
- Planning, executing, trouble shooting of experiments and data analysis in collaboration in close collaboration with colleagues within Immunology and the rest of Global Research
- Assisting the other lab members in maintaining inventory of supplies, materials, equipment, service contracts and daily business activities as needed for laboratory operations
- Support and maintain the in-house donor cell biobank
- Secure good documentation, properly document study reports in electronic laboratory notebooks
- You will be expected to write and modify SOPs, WINs and laboratory protocols in order to meet the needs of research projects as required
- A strong work ethic for generating high quality data
With your technical background and support, you will be further strengthening our experimental research platform with novel, state-of-the-art human in-vitro and ex-vivo approaches.
Required qualifications:
- Education as Laboratory Technician / Bio-analytics
- Preferably 2-5 years of experience from working in research at a university or in the industry
- You have the ability to plan, execute and analyse cellular immunology related experiments
- Experience with culturing human primary cells and T-cell lines will be a clear advantage
- Experience with Flow Cytometry, ELISA, FluoroSPOT/ELISPOT, cytokine assays will be an advantage
- Strong team player with equally strong ability to work independently
- An open, well-organised, committed, and eager to learn person would be a need
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English
