A.P. Moller-Maersk A/S is looking for a hands-on Tax Consultant or Tax Manager to be part of the HQ Tax team in a position the offers continuous challenges and plenty of development opportunities.

The HQ Tax team is responsible for Danish taxation and first point of contact for international tax initiatives. The team works in close collaboration with the rest of the tax organization around the world.

As a centrally based headquarter tax function, HQ Tax is assisting group companies in all parts of the organization with a broad arrange of tax issues. The team also assists with international tax challenges and restructurings.

Key responsibilities


• Provide timely professional advice to support business operations to Danish based companies

• Monitor tax law changes and provide advice on potential impacts

• Support the Finance function in the accurate accounting and reporting of taxes

• Preparation and review of Danish tax returns

• Determine tax treatment of new business activities and financial products

• Prepare and manage responses to Tax Authority audits

• Assist with identification, assessment and reporting of tax risks

• Handle Country by Country Reporting including the analysis of the report and collaborate with foreign subsidiaries to ensure local reporting requirements

• Assist the M&A and Tax Projects team with restructurings and ad hoc work

We are looking for


We are looking for a person with relevant education and possibly practical tax experience in a multinational corporation, global operations, public accounting firm or law firm.

You should be able to demonstrate profound understanding of accounting and financial issues.

Ideally you hold a relevant academic degree, e.g. CPA, Cand.merc.aud, Cand.merc.jur., MTA or Tax Administration Exam.

You have good understanding of international and Danish tax rules and knowledge of shipping taxation would be considered a plus.

As a person you are disciplined and well-organized with a strong emphasis on getting things done timely and correctly.

You have a strategic, proactive and analytical mind-set, you are dedicated to developing high expertise within a given field and you have a good sense of humor.

In addition, you thrive in a fast paced and competitive environment with interaction with many stakeholders inside and outside the organisation.

Excellent written and spoken Danish and English is a requirement.
