In this role, you will expertly coordinate and manage company-wide localization and local marketing initiatives ensuring a seamless experience for our global audience.

Be part of the movement
As a Content & Localization Coordinator your tasks will be varied, yet always revolving around the maintenance and localization of content for an extensive website with over 20 locales. You will work with designers, developers, and SEO experts to optimize and maintain content in our headless CMS, Contentful, and you will also be the linchpin that coordinates and executes localization efforts for both web and mobile app content. Oversight of Localization will also require strategic thinking and an agile mindset, as you will be working with both in-house and external engineers to further develop our localization processes. Furthermore, you will oversee the company's presence on Google Maps/Google Business Profile Manager, heading a company-wide taskforce of more than 10 stakeholders in their efforts to maintain and optimize over 100 locations across Europe. dfds is a shipping and logistics company – the largest in Northern Europe – who also operate ferries for passengers. This means our customers are both B2B and B2C.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be a content expert and become a master of our headless CMS, Contentful, in order to support the B2B and About sections of dfds.com, while maintaining a strong working relationship with the B2C web team.
  • Collaborate with UXers, SEO experts, Analytics gurus, Product Owners, and the B2B Marketing team to execute a wide variety of web solutions for content owners and stakeholders across departments.
  • Arrange, coordinate, and execute localization operations for web and mobile app content in 20+ locales, ensuring cultural and linguistic accuracy.
  • Work with internal and external resources to continuously improve localization workflows, processes, and practices.
  • Oversee and govern the company's presence on Google Maps/Google Business Profile Manager, while being a subject expert and leading the inter-departmental taskforce.

The ideal person for this position will have the following qualifications:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Linguistics, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in content management and localization.
  • Proficiency in Content Management Systems (CMS), specifically headless CMS like Contentful.
  • Strong understanding of localization best practices and experience working with 20+ locales.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and at least one other language.
  • Familiarity with Google Maps/Google Business Profile Manager and experience in managing a large number of locations.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
