Are you committed to pushing the boundaries of your professional capabilities, striving for excellence within an environment that values openness, collaboration, and empowerment?</p><p>If all of this resonates with you and you are curious to learn more, then read on, this role could be the opportunity you are looking for.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Your new role</strong></p><p>As the new Business Development Manager in our Bioenergy and Power-Generation group you will play a leading, client facing role in translating customer enquiries into high quality technical and commercial proposals. This will include developing consulting projects, providing strategic advice to clients, and driving business development initiatives.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Key tasks and responsibilities</strong></p><p>You will collaborate closely with new prospects and existing clients, together with Ramboll project management and tender teams, and apply your commercial and technical expertise to support account new business initiatives. This will include;</p><p> </p><p><strong>Opportunity Leadership and Management </strong></p><ul><li>Leading and managing consulting opportunities from identification to booking.</li><li>Developing project plans, timelines, and budgets.</li><li>Coordinating and overseeing tender teams, ensuring timely and quality delivery.</li><li>Preparing and presenting detailed reports and recommendations to clients.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Technical Expertise and Advisory </strong></p><ul><li>Providing expert advice on technologies, power plants, and sustainability practices.</li><li>Analysing market trends, policy developments, and regulatory changes affecting the power and bioenergy industry.</li><li>Conducting feasibility studies, economic analyses, and risk assessments.</li><li>Identifying key clients and projects to develop those following the Business Development strategy.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Client Relationship Management </strong></p><ul><li>Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.</li><li>Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the sector.</li><li>Supporting clients in navigating regulatory frameworks and securing necessary approvals.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Business Development </strong></p><ul><li>Developing and implementing strategies to grow the biofuels consulting practice.</li><li>Participating in marketing and promotional activities, including conferences, webinars, and publications.</li><li>Collaborating with the sales team to develop proposals and win new projects.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Team Leadership and Development </strong></p><ul><li>Mentoring and training junior consultants, junior BD managers and other team members.</li><li>Fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.</li><li>Staying updated on industry advancements and integrating new knowledge into the team’s capabilities.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>About you</strong></p><p>From the moment you start at Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development so that you can continue to grow with the company. Whilst we look forward to supporting your continued learning and development, for this role we have identified some qualifications, skills, and capabilities that will set you up for success.</p><p> </p><ul><li>Bachelors or Master’s degree in Power or Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Renewable Energy, or a related field.</li><li>Measurable experience in the power generation and bioenergy industry, with a proven track record in technology, consulting or project management roles.</li><li>Good knowledge of power generation and bioenergy/ biofuel technologies, lifecycle analysis, and sustainability standards.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in economic modelling and data analysis.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical audiences.</li><li>Strong understanding of market dynamics, competitive landscape, and regulatory frameworks in the biofuels sector.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Professional certifications related to power generation, renewable energy or biofuels.</li><li>Experience with international biofuels markets and policies.</li><li>Fluency in additional languages.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Please note, this position may require occasional travel to client sites and industry events.</strong></p><p><strong>About Ramboll</strong></p><p>Founded in Denmark, Ramboll is a foundation-owned people company.
