The position
The position has focus on immunoassays, both traditional ELISA and analytical techniques such as Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) and Bio-layer interferometry (BLI). The position is a balanced mix of analytical assay development, assay validation and support of the project process development.
As a Senior Research Scientist, you will:
Apart from that, you will participate in cross organizational project groups, collaboration with other departments both in Research Units and in manufacturing (Product Supply) and combine hands-on experience from the immunoassay world with modern aspects such as automation.
As part of your role, you will initiate contact with relevant internal or external stakeholders to secure the best possible scientific cooperation and results across functions and teams. There will be a close day to day cooperation with our laboratory technicians and colleague scientists, thus we welcome and salute if you are eager to perform laboratory work.
You can look forward to using your skills and talent not only in our department but across Drug Development which covers analysis, cell banking, drug product development and stability testing within the entire R&D clinical portfolio.
You will participate in our daily drift tasks and further participate in helping us develop, optimise, and potentially rethink our traditional analytical methods. We can offer an open, dynamic, and social atmosphere with a strong focus on state-of-the-art science, collaboration, and deliveries at the right regulatory level.
Qualifications
It is a prerequisite if you have been working in a cGMP environment.

You are an independent person that drives initiatives to reach goals and meet necessary deadlines. You can handle several tasks at the same time, and you never lose sight of the end goal. About the Department
As part of Novo Nordisk’s R&ED family, CMC (Chemistry Manufacturing and Controls) Development makes a real difference for patients with chronic diseases across the world. We develop, manufacture, and distribute drug candidates for non-clinical and clinical trials. Within the department we develop bioanalyses for analysis of cell banks, in-process samples, drug substance, and drug product samples for the entire Novo Nordisk project portfolio in clinical trials all over the world. In our team, we develop immunoassays for monitoring of process related impurities. You will join a team of 13 highly skilled scientists and laboratory technicians who work closely together with the rest of the department on projects to deliver on time at the right quality.

The position

As a Senior Research Scientist, you will:
- Develop and implement relevant assays for early state projects to phase 2 projects in a Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control (CMC) analytical department
- Validate the assays and equipment to the appropriate level
- Secure a smooth transfer of our methods to Product Supply (PS) when the project reaches clinical phase 3
- Prepare the required paperwork including preparation of reports, change requests and deviations
- Work across teams in our department

Qualifications
- You hold a Master of Science and/or a PhD within pharmacy, biomedicine, cell biology, biochemistry or similar, ideally combined with relevant experience with immunoassays e.g., ELISA from the pharmaceutical, biotech or healthcare industry.
- You have interest in and preferably experience in working with Biomek i7
- You have experience or a keen interest for lean and continuous improvement and you are a frontrunner when it comes to digitalization and automation.
- You are eager to see things moving forward in a dynamic environment where projects vary, and thereby demands the need for flexibility and skills to organise and drive tasks.
- You take a pragmatic approach to problem solving and have a strong quality mindset.
- Strong proficiency level in Danish is a prerequisite
