We are looking for a new Analytical Scientist with interest in PAT (Process Analytical Technology) to strengthen our PAT team. So, if you are excited about PAT and you want to work with NIR spectroscopy and PAT in a pharmaceutical setting, then apply now and join us at the Process Analytical Technology team as Analytical Scientist. The position As our new Analytical Scientist, you will quickly get up to speed and have a large responsibility. You will be part of a great team with 14 dedicated and talented colleagues. Our primary tasks are focused on developing spectroscopy methods that are being used to monitor and control the production processes and for quality control of the final drug products. You will be working with spectroscopy (NIR primarily) to analyse raw materials, intermediates, and products from our production processes, using in-line and off-line analysis. In the position you will be working closely with colleagues from the process development area and with good support from your team then you will have a great opportunity to make a positive impact with the advantages the technology offers. You will be responsible for both development and validation of NIR methods for new products, including study protocols, hands-on work, data evaluation and reporting. Qualifications You have a M.Sc. or PhD in Pharmacy, Chemistry or a related field preferably coupled with experience from the food or pharmaceutical industry. The optimal candidate has: A strong experience with chemometrics and modelling of spectroscopy data The ability to work independently with complex tasks Knowledge of development of analytical methods (is an advantage) Knowledge of regulatory requirements for NIR and pharmaceutical method validation (is an advantage) Knowledge of GMP requirements (is an advantage) Proficiency in Matlab and Eigenvector PLS toolbox (is an advantage) Fluency in English, written and verbally. Lastly, you are good at communicating complex content to people with different backgrounds. About the department Novo Nordisk has started a journey to modernize the way we manufacture and perform quality control of medicine. A key strategic initiative to support the journey is the development of Process Analytical Technology applications. The position is anchored in the department CMC QC Technology and IT in a team that focuses on PAT and real time release testing for future products. The team consists of scientists and lab technicians with spectroscopy as their core competence.
