Then you have a unique possibility to be part of one of the most skilled and advanced tissue imaging units in Denmark. About the department Histological Sciences is a department within Safety Sciences and Imaging, Global Discovery and Development Sciences and is situated in Måløv, Denmark. The department is committed to the development of new pharmaceuticals and is working with state-of-the-art histology and imaging technologies to support both early and late-stage projects with detection and quantitation of drug and drug receptors as well as efficacy and safety markers. The Position We offer you an inspiring job opportunity where you will be heading a highly skilled team of histology technicians delivering state-of-the-art detection of genes and proteins in tissues to support discovery and development projects with translational data. Additionally, the processes around histology are constantly being optimized, automated and digitized through professional support in the department as well as through several external stakeholders. Your main responsibility will be: Secure the status as a Centre of Excellence within histology, image analysis and spatial omics technologies. This includes organizing the laboratory work and personal development of 14 histology technicians Prioritization of project deliverables, collaboration with external partners and automation of histology processes You will work closely together with the manager and employees of the Pathology & Imaging department securing that the projects get optimal histology support Moreover, you will get the opportunity both to work independently as well as in teams. You will also have the opportunity to expand your professional network. Assuming responsibility, clear communication and taking action will be essential parts of your workday. Qualification The ideal candidate has experience in histological techniques, holds a Ph.D. in cell biology, biochemistry, human biology or a related field. Have 3+ years of work experience in drug discovery and development, as well as managerial experience Knowledge of state-of-the-art laboratory methods. A proven track record of successful experience in building internal and external partnerships is expected. This role requires a candidate who possesses strong problem-solving skills, high ethical standards, be well-organized and a clear communicator. The ideal candidate has the ability to motivate colleagues and employees towards a common goal. Finally, you can work under pressure when needed and are able to make independent decisions.
