The position Due to rapid expansion, we have a new position as a Research Scientist in Endotoxin competence centre. The position is a balanced mix of: Wet-lab development Routine work Interpretation/reporting of results Important for the position is timely development and validation of assays like LAL (Low Acid Resistance), LER ( Low Endotoxin Recovery ) and MAT ( Monocyte Activation Test) . Other molecular biology methods may also be in scope since the team are developing into new areas. You can look forward to using your skills and talent not only in our department, but across Drug Development which covers analysis, cell banking, drug product development and stability testing within the entire Research & Early Development (R&ED) clinical portfolio. Qualifications You hold a Master of Science preferably combined either with a PhD within molecular biology, pharmacy, biomedicine, cell biology, biochemistry or relevant practical experience from the pharmaceutical, hospital or biotech industry. Our ideal candidate also has: Experience with LAL/LER and MAT assays Understanding of biophysical structure of molecules or biochemical knowledge about how complex molecules interact Interest in how data processing/programming potentially combined with robotics or liquid handling can be used to optimise the way we work LEAN mind-set and strive for simplicity, it is important that you can contribute to problem solving and that you are able to “keep it simple” Readiness to participate in cross-site groups focusing on Pyrogens/Endotoxin We seek an individual who excels in both routine tasks and complex problem-solving, demonstrates a well-structured approach, produces high-quality reports, and shares knowledge within the team. Close collaboration with experienced chemists and lab technicians is essential, as is promoting collaboration with other organizational stakeholders. If you are curiosity-driven and enjoy hands-on laboratory work, this opportunity will allow you to further explore your scientific interests while contributing to the team's success. You need to be a proactive team player, skilled at building relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. You also possess independence, drive, and goal-oriented initiative, effectively managing multiple tasks without losing sight of the end goal. Excellent communication, a positive mindset, and curiosity are essential. About the Department In CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls) Bioanalysis at the Novo Nordisk site in Måløv, we develop assays for analysis cell banks, in process samples, drug substance and drug product samples for the entire Novo Nordisk project portfolio in clinical trials all over the world. We are around 55 people organized in three teams, and you will join a team of 16 highly skilled and dedicated scientists and laboratory technicians who work closely together on projects to deliver on time at the required quality.
