Apply now! About the department The Department CMC Analytical Development is part of R&D Novo Nordisk A/S. The department is organised in 3 highly skilled analytical teams with a total of 62 employees. Two analysis teams are responsible for all GMP activities including analysing all in-process, drug substance and drug product samples during development. The team, in which the position is in, is responsible for all analytical development. Stakeholder management is a key for all 3 teams. The department is responsible for developing analytical methods, including validation and documentation, and delivering analytical results for new drug substances and drug products – thereby acting as the link between the research unit and the product supply unit, all the way from early development to phase 3 clinical trials and registration. The analytical platform is primarily based on HPLC/UHPLC, iCIEF, CE-SDS and LC-MS. The Position As Analytical Scientist in the development team, you will be joining a great team of dedicated and experienced colleagues, both scientists and laboratory technicians. Your responsibility covers analytical development and optimisation of analytical methods for drug substance and injectable products with a special focus on chromatographic methods (HPLC/UHPLC). As our new Analytical Scientist, you will: Plan and coordinate experiments for method development and document the results Be the responsible analytical person in the projects. This will involve a close collaboration with scientists and technicians in- and outside the department Take responsibility for ensuring that analytical equipment is fully functioning Troubleshooting of analytical equipment and methods, including driving optimisation of both processes and systems will therefore be a key part of your responsibility Qualifications As our ideal candidate, you have: Master’s degree within Life Sciences (Pharmacy, Engineering, or other relevant discipline) together with a PhD or similar experience Several years’ experience within HPLC/UHPLC and/or LC-MS analytical development within the pharmaceutical industry and a keen interest in understanding and optimizing equipment Experience with analysis at CMOs are an advantage You have good knowledge of general protein chemistry and a natural flair for thinking in new digital and automatic solutions Stakeholder management as a part of your DNA We expect you to be fluent in written and spoken English. Fluency in Danish would be an advantage. As a person you have a positive and open mind-set, which is helpful in an ever-changing project environment. You have a natural way of creating new networks and strong communication skills that allow you to build fruitful relations to both colleagues and stakeholders.
