Analytical Scientist for Solid-State Characterisation Are you eager to characterise drug substances and drug product formulations using a wide range of analytical techniques? You will be joining a team of 8 dedicated scientists and laboratory technicians. As an analytical scientist you will contribute to various development projects by establishing an understanding for the solid-state characteristics of various drug substances, raw materials as well as solid dose formulations. As Analytical Scientist you will assist with the implementation of new analytical techniques in close collaboration with the lab technicians in the team. You will also plan various analytical tasks together with our lab technicians and have a constructive collaboration with our many internal stakeholders, including Oral Product Development, API Development and the Research organisation. At the same time, it is essential that you ensure a timely delivery of analytical results and demonstrate good documentation practise. As a member of our team and department you are expected to have a curious mindset and to contribute to our continuous process improvements, including automation and digitalisation of existing processes. Qualifications Essential: Hold a MSc or PhD in Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Engineering, or a related field Experience or knowledge of solid-state characterisation techniques such as X-ray powder diffraction (XRPD), Particle Size Distribution (PSD), Dynamic Vapour Sorption (DVS), Surface area and porosity analysis (BET) and Intrinsic Dissolution Rate (IDR) Communicate in English, both written and spoken Nice to have: Know-how within automation and digitalisation of laboratory processes Speak, read, and write in Danish On a personal level, you contribute positively to our team and enjoy working with people from different professional backgrounds. About the department Early Phase Oral Analytical Development is part of DP & Analytical Development, which is a sub-division of CMC Development & Scaling. We are responsible for the development and validation of UPLC analytical methods, dissolution methods, and for developing analytical platforms for solid-state characterisation. We are also responsible for analytical support and to some extent QC release of oral protein products for preclinical and clinical trials.
