Do you thrive in a fast-paced, ambitious, and multidisciplinary environment? Then apply today and join our efforts to bring safe and effective cell therapies into the clinic and out to improve the lives of people living with serious chronic diseases.
The position
We are expanding our team and are looking for an In Vivo Senior Scientist with expertise relevant to the in vivo testing of formulations and the combination of delivery devices, formulation, and cells. As a member of our internal and external project teams, you will be responsible for designing and executing in vivo studies, analyzing assay results, interpreting findings, and effectively communicating and discussing conclusions with a wide range of stakeholders and collaborators across our organization. These tasks cover a multidisciplinary area of cell biology, in vivo pharmacology, bioethics, animal welfare, non-clinical and device development. In addition, you will be responsible for: Ensuring optimal design and proper execution of in vivo studies, maintaining high Novo Nordisk animal welfare standards, and providing support for both internal and external development. Implementing novel models, transplantation techniques, and the latest methodologies for investigating cell therapy products in vivo. Supporting the progression of our main programs in Cell Therapy R&D; Type 1 Diabetes, Chronic Heart Failure and Parkinson’s Disease cell therapy projects.
Qualifications To succeed in this role, you have: A Master’s degree in veterinarian, human biological, biomedical sciences, pharmaceutical, biological, or a related field in combination with at least a couple of years of relevant experience. A PhD is preferred but not a demand. You possess a solid background in small and/or large animal in vivo research and a strong interest in working with animals and animal welfare. Your experience preferably includes knowledge within cell therapy with cell transplantations and cell transplant devices, although we also encourage applicants with related experiences to apply. Knowledge within Type 1 Diabetes, Chronic Heart Failure and/or Parkinson’s Disease, in vivo imaging technologies, cell tracking and biomarkers are an advantage but not a requirement. The position requires curiosity, adaptability, and a creative mindset, together with good time and resource management skills. You need to thrive in an environment where we work in collaborative teams, relying on each other; e.g. for technical, strategic, regulatory, and clinical expertise - making communication an essential skill. We are driven by curiosity and desire to make a difference.
