As the Head of Translational Imaging, you will lead the Translational Imaging Department, integrating advanced imaging techniques into research projects and strategy. The role involves collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders and a proactive approach to adopting the latest imaging technologies.
The main tasks can be summarized as follows: Lead the Translational Imaging Department by fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. Integrate advanced imaging techniques like PET (Positron Emission Tomography) and MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) into translational strategies and plans. Empower team members through focused capability building, ensuring they excel in their roles and contribute effectively to department objectives. Execute the functional strategy for the department, aligning it with the overall strategic goals of Novo Nordisk. Contribute to the execution of the Translational Research strategy, by bringing a unique perspective from the imaging field. Stay ahead of innovations in imaging techniques and technologies, driving the implementation of innovative solutions within the department. Qualifications
To succeed and thrive in this role, you should have: A degree in Radiology, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Physics, or a related scientific field preferably a Ph.D. or MD. Minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of imaging in a pharmaceutical or biotech research setting. Experience in a leadership or management position with a demonstrated ability to inspire and guide the team, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture. Proven track record of strategic contribution and project management. As a person, you are known for integrity and commitment to high ethical standards in every action and decision. You are a strategic tinker with an open-minded and solution-oriented approach. You communicate clearly and transparently, and you are good at collaborating effectively with various stakeholders. Translational Imaging is a newly established department within the Translational Research VP area. The department underscores the commitment to expanding within imaging to support and de-risk projects across our portfolio. In Translational Research, we are committed to identifying biomarkers and generating high-quality biomarker data to guide decision-making in research & development.
Translational Research is part of the Global Translation CVP area, located in Måløv (Greater Copenhagen area) and responsible for the application of translational approaches across all therapy areas in Novo Nordisk.
