The position The position is anchored in LabDroid; our new, large laboratory automation platform. You will be part of a dynamic team and collaborate closely with the LabDroid teammembers and key stakeholders across the entire research organisation. Daily work tasks covers several disciplines. Coordinate with Technicians and Scientists to plan experimental activities Focus on experimental deliveries spanning a full workflow in the innovative laboratory automation platform for generation and characterization of future drug candidates Running and setting up solid-phase peptide synthesis, recombinant protein production, purification, biophysics, in-vitro assays, UPLC and LC-MS in a fully automated fashion Troubleshooting of equipment and experimental issues Qualifications To thrive and succeed, we expect you to have: An education as a Laboratory Technician, Process Operator or similar Excellent laboratory skills and the ability to conduct high quality experiments A keen interest in laboratory automation. Hands-on experience is a clear advantage. Trusts in your own abilities and open to applying them in new ways Strong communication skills in written and oral English As a person, you are collaboration-oriented, dedicated and proactive. Very importantly, you are a good team player who can operate in a dynamic and interchangable environment. About the department The LabDroid operates large-scale, fully automated platforms for discovery and optimization of biotherapeutic molecules for Novo Nordisk´s research pipeline. The team consists of about ten scientists, laboratory technicians and specialists within automation and IT, each contributing to a diverse team with their unique set of competences. We have a strong collaborative spirit where we value each other’s opinions and competences. The LabDroid is one of three department of Recombinant Drug Discovery counting a total of 50+ employees who all focus on building a rich pipeline of biotherapeutic molecules leveraging unique advantages of our engineering technology platforms. RDD is a part of Recombinant Drug Research (RDR), where we collaborate across the full research value chain to discover and advance innovative recombinant protein and peptide therapeutic candidates.
