About the department The Clinical Development Centre Denmark (CDC DK) is responsible for managing back-office activities, such as project management and administrative tasks on clinical trials across nine countries (Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland). The CDC DK is part of the DK affiliate. In CDC DK we are 40 highly skilled and ambitious employees: Start-up specialists, Clinical Trial Managers and Administrators, Clinical Quality Managers and Clinical Innovation Manager. The position As the Feasibility Specialist, you will belong to a team that consists of a mixed group of start-up specialists, reporting to the start-up manager. The team is in its building which gives you the opportunity to influence the role. The position is virtual, which means that you can work from your home country. The position will require some travelling for meetings. Your main responsibility is to drive and maintain oversight of country allocation and feasibility across the nine CDC DK countries. This includes providing trial feasibility, country allocation and recruitment planning assessments for clinical trials in CDC DK, to ensure country allocation as per CDC strategy, timely identification of the right sites and to set ambitious and realistic recruitment targets. Other areas of responsibility: Setting CDC DK and country specific strategies for country allocation and providing direction to ensure successful and high-quality delivery of start-up activities Providing input on country allocation, by gathering and analysing internal and external data (e.g., feedback and local knowledge from clinical/medical stakeholders, historical data, internal and external databases), in close cooperation with the local clinical management teams in the countries, to generate insights to support the decision making Leading CDC alignment meeting with the local clinical management teams to agree on CDC strategies for trial/country allocation Proactively identifying risks and opportunities during the country allocation and feasibility process and developing and implementing mitigation strategies Leading cross-functional review and input on Trial Portfolio updates in close collaboration with local Clinical management. This also includes maintaining and sharing knowledge regarding the future trial pipeline You’ll be collaborating and interacting with clinical management in the CDC DK countries, Global Trial Planning team, CDC Clinical Medical team, Regional Clinical Project Managers, and other Novo Nordisk colleagues. This position requires excellent communication, stakeholder, and project management skills, as well as a strong understanding of the clinical trial process. Qualifications We are looking for a CDC Feasibility specialist who is motivated by finding new ways of working to ensure continuous optimisation and innovation of country allocation and start-up processes, to maximise the clinical success rate for the CDC DK and the nine countries. Additionally, you are our ideal candidate if you: Hold a degree within life science or healthcare Have significant experience in clinical research obtained at a pharmaceutical company and/or CRO, with in-depth knowledge of clinical start-up activities Have strong problem-solving skills, a proactive and can-do attitude Work independently while also being a dedicated team player Are capable of integrating different perspectives and come up with an aligned plan that meets business goals Have high proficiency level in English (oral and written) Enjoy working with different stakeholders across nationalities and cultures Working at Novo Nordisk At Novo Nordisk, we don’t wait for change.
