This position is based at our friendly office in Roskilde and you will join our Workplace Domain. The domain is responsible for developing and maintaining 15.000 financial workplaces in Denmark. The Domain is working with – among other things - the newest Modern Workplace technology from Microsoft.

The Domain is growing, and as we have more employees coming in, we need an extra Development Manager in the Domain. You will join a team of 5 Development Managers, referring to Development Director Flemming Eilgaard.

Primary task and responsibilities include:

You will be accountable for developing an efficient and proficient team, that delivers business value continuously with high quality, while operating the systems in your portfolio. This requires strong stakeholder and relationship management and the ability to tackle complexity and uncertainty.

The team consists of 12 experienced colleagues who handle several individual operational solutions from workplaces to server-based solutions and web hotel solutions. You will regularly participate in customer meetings, where we follow up on our deliveries - and you will participate in meetings with our subcontractors, with whom we have a close collaboration

We expect you to participate in leadership development and improvement activities – among others to contribute to our agile transformation.

At bec, we prefer to collaborate often in the office. As a Development Manager you have the option to work remotely once a week. Furthermore, expect occasional travel to Warsaw.

Delivery management

  • Holds and manage system ownership
  • Accountable for the team deliveries based on prioritized backlog
  • Close teamwork with your product owner, in our agile setup
  • Deliver as promised in your 5Q roadmap
  • Help to remove impediments
  • Ensure effective collaboration with clients as well as internal stakeholders
  • Ensure transparency on progress and achievements

Application lifecycle management

  • Operation and maintenance of solutions
  • Security and compliance
  • Support and request management from clients
  • Architecture and best practice quality assurance

To succeed you will have:

Moreover, we expect that you:

  • Have an educational background preferably at least at bachelor level and 2-5 years of experience from a similar position working within IT in the financial sector (or similar)
  • It would be an advantage, if you have experience from working with Microsoft technologies regarding operation and maintenance
  • Are curious, motivated by new challenges and always seek to further develop
  • Have strong communication and leadership skills
  • Owns the ability to drive implementation and realize business value
  • See yourself as customer focused and service minded, always striving for developing, enhancing, and maintaining solutions in excellent condition (stability and security)
  • Have passion and ability to drive agile values and principles
  • Experience with a diverse set of tools and technologies with the desire to keep learning
