Become a part of our Business Development Team in the Water Division
Kamstrup is a Danish technology company and one of the world’s leading manufacturer of intelligent metering solutions. We experience significant demand for our products and focus massively on development and production of intelligent metering equipment and systems for energy and water consumption. Because of an increased demand for our innovative and intelligent solutions worldwide, we are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our Strategic Business Development Team.

With direct reference to the Head of Strategic Business Development you will join a team of 3 Business Development Managers, each with individual focus areas. The team is dedicated to globally develop Kamstrup’s future water business in close collaboration with the organization, based on deep market understanding and customer insights.

Business Development Manager with strong commercial and negotiation skills
As our new Business Development Manager, your primary responsibility will be to develop our future water business in APAC. You will work in close collaboration with customers, external partners, Sales, R&D, and Water Division Management, to set the strategic direction for APAC.

More specifically your primary responsibilities will be to:

  • Develop and execute new market strategies and initiatives in the APAC region
  • Monitor market trends and competitive environment to identify and enhance sales and business development opportunities
  • Drive market penetration and relationship building in APAC, including new customer contracts
  • Drive the further development of the portfolio strategy specific for the region

  • Drive co-development and strategic collaboration with innovation partners and large clients
  • Manage the APAC Innovation Pipeline and drive the ideation phase of new solutions tailored for the APAC region

In the job, you can expect 50-70 travel days per year.

Personality matters
You hold a Master’s degree in business and have at least 5 years’ professional experience working in the field of international business development and strategy in solution-oriented high-tech companies. You have experience within management consulting and expertise in green field or international business development in APAC.

In addition, it is a requirement that you:

  • Have hands on experience within contract management and B2B sales
  • Have successfully demonstrated power of new market penetration in APAC
  • Have experience from working living and abroad, preferably in APAC
  • Have experience with managing large tender and/or Key Account Management
  • Have experience from working within solution oriented high-tech firms (combining hardware, software and service)
  • Have experience within the domain of project management

If you have experience from the water industry and a good network to industry stakeholders it will be seen as an advantage.

As a person you have excellent business acumen and strong commercial as well as negotiation skills. You are a self-starter and proactive and have a high level of energy and drive to create results. You are a strong communicator and possess the ability to build trust and engage and interact at all levels.

You are fluent in English both written and oral. Danish will be an asset.
