About the department Medical & Science PFDD is part of Medical & Science Centre of Expertise in Clinical Drug Development. The purpose of Medical & Science Centre of Expertise is to connect the Medical & Science organization while driving scientifically sound medical deliverables across the Novo Nordisk project portfolio. The team includes two departments: PFDD and Scientific Excellence. There are in total 20 employees with highly diverse backgrounds including medical experts, public health professionals, and competency development professionals. Medical & Science, PFDD has one Senior Director, five Clinical Outcome Assessments (COA) Managers, and one PFDD Professional. We are passionate about bringing the patients’ perspectives at the heart of everything we do and are proud of our inclusive and learning team culture. Patients’ perspectives and experiences are important focus areas for Novo Nordisk when developing better treatments for people living with a serious chronic disease. We seek a person with skills, interest, and experience in integrating patient preference information into our clinical development programs to inform regulatory benefit-risk assessments. The position As a Clinical Patient Preference Manager, you will be:
  • A key driver in placing the patient at the centre of our clinical data generation
  • Generating relevant patient preference information in close collaboration with key stakeholders to support patient-focused drug development in our global development programs
  • Involved across drug development life cycle, from clinical development planning to trial execution and finally communication of the achieved outcomes
  • Responsible for the planning, implementation, and reporting of patient preference information for regulatory decision-making within a broad range of diseases
  • This is a unique opportunity to collaborate closely with important stakeholders from drug development, medical affairs, health economy, and marketing, as well as various external vendors and advisors to support the execution of daily tasks. Qualifications To thrive and succeed, we expect you to have:
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 5 years of relevant pharma industry experience
  • Proven track in clinical outcome research and/or integrating patient preference information into clinical studies following relevant regulatory guidelines
  • Strong understanding of health authorities' processes, requirements, and regulations
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
  • Preferably, vendor management experience
  • As a person, you have a high degree of independence and also team spirit as many decisions are made in project teams and these decisions may have broad business impact. You are process-oriented and have the ability to set and implement strategic directions based on effective communication and close collaboration across multiple functions. You can work on several tasks coming from different stakeholders with different expectations. Most importantly, you are a lifelong learner and welcome the opportunity to develop new skills and gain further experience within patient focused drug development.
