Sustainability Project Manager to Dovista A/S

This is an opportunity to join an organisation that is truly ambitious about sustainability, across the industry and the DOVISTA organization. If you want to make an impact that matters, join the Group Sustainability team with dedicated experts, who are close to the corporate strategy and decision-makers.

In the role as Sustainability Project Manager, you will become responsible for a mission-critical program entailing many projects across the organisation and the full value chain, which are all aimed at reducing the CO2 emissions. DOVISTA is committed to Science Based Target initiative (SBTi) and has defined ambitious targets for decarbonizing operations as well as the value chain. These targets have been translated into decarbonization roadmaps, and it will be your responsibility to continuously track, develop and course-correct the path towards realizing DOVISTA’s ambitions.

You will do this by working closely with colleagues in a cross-functional decarbonization team, and many other stakeholders in the organization. You will be supported by the senior management and managers that are equally ambitious about Sustainability.

You will report to the Head of Group Sustainability that is part of the CTO organization covering Products, Sustainability & Strategy. Work location can be in a hybrid setup, with primary work location in the head office in Horsens.

Program lead in structuring and ensuring successful execution of decarbonisation initiatives

Leading decarbonization in Group Sustainability, you will head the SBTi commitment to reduce CO2 emissions from Scope 1 and 2 by 42% and Scope 3 by 25% in 2030, as well preparing for a long-term net-zero target. You will oversee, support, setup, and help to prioritise among many important and valuable initiatives and monitor their progress. Execution of the initiatives happens across the organisation and in the factories across Europe, where you will support with your objective decarbonization knowledge to ensure joint success. You will have a keen focus on impact, to ensure that the initiatives serve the purpose of reducing CO2 emissions in line with the reduction trajectory.

You cannot succeed alone and will be supported by colleagues across the organisation from Operations to Group Communication. Your key deliverables will be following:

  • Group level responsible for DOVISTA’s decarbonization roadmaps across Scope 1, 2 and 3, which are developed in collaboration with target owners across the business.
  • Support reduction projects with key business stakeholders (across functional areas of DOVISTA), with a particular focus on reduction impact, tracking and documentation.
  • Participate in developing a measurement methodology for Scope 3 together with a Sustainability Reporting Specialist.
  • Ensure an overview of and reporting about the decarbonisation reductions towards target owners, as well as to Group Management and Board of Directors.
  • Deliver factual communication content for Group Communication for internal and external reporting regarding decarbonisation progress.
  • Project lead for and co-develop the Annual Sustainability Report by ensuring content from internal stakeholders.

SBTi and decarbonisation specialist with distinct project management skills

You are a dynamic individual that thrives with navigating in an international context and an organisation with multiple stakeholders. With your excellent people and communication skills, you can create commitment and support to your agenda and program, and you consider yourself to be able to connect with people at all organisational levels. This, you do, by being an adept listener, self-driven and proactive by nature, and while also promoting a team orientation and collaborative spirit.

In your work, you exhibit a commitment to excellence and continuous improvements, and it is supported by specialist knowledge and experience in following:

  • Preferably experience in Carbon Reporting, and with experience in aligning it with Greenhouse Gas (GHG) standards – either from consultancy or the industry.
  • Exposure to an international operations or manufacturing environment.
  • Generalist knowledge of reduction levers to support the functional target owners in a business, to develop and monitor their reduction plans.
  • Project management experience and with a motivation to develop further within this.
  • Academic credentials on bachelor or master level in Economics, Engineering or similar.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.

This is why you should join DOVISTA

At DOVISTA, you will reap all the benefits of being part of a large company, built on a solid foundation, where everything is not yet set in stone. This gives you the chance to create impact while you develop your competencies. Group Sustainability as a team is relatively newly established, which will give you the opportunity to influence setup and ways of working – while you will relate across the organisation in a high-impact strategic program.

And you do so together with experienced and talented colleagues, working in a helpful and open atmosphere. DOVISTA has a strong sense of building something together. Also, they believe in offering you the flexibility, you need in terms of e.g., working remotely when needed.
