We are looking for an ambitious Business Development Associate (BDA) with excellent communication and personal skills to help us deliver on our ambitious growth strategy. This position will have significant impact on the future of Fertin as we continue our growth journey into new categories within both pharma- and nutraceuticals with existing as well as new customers.

The BDA will be part of Fertin’s business development team, and as our BDA you will support the business development team with execution of the commercial strategy including supporting as well as taking lead on a number of projects yourself. You will start with primarily supporting the BD Director with various projects and opportunities, and as you gain experience, you will take on your own projects.

Therefore, to succeed in this role, the BDA must be interesting in working with all aspects of the business development process from identifying and generating leads, over project scoping and business case building, to negotiating contracts as well as account management. The BDA must be capable of communicating with all organizational levels internally and externally. A positive, energetic and winning attitude is critical to succeed in this job as well as strong business acumen and profound understanding of the importance of team-work as you will have many touch points across the organization. Travel days 20-30. You will report to the Business Development Director.

Main Responsibilities:
The role requires a high sense of quality and a challenger driven mind-set to drive customer excellence from idea to commercialization. Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Support preparation of project and product offerings (value selling)
  • Based on close collaboration with e.g. Marketing and R&D identify opportunities for concepts and products for development, out-license and supply
  • Identify and evaluate leads and opportunities for fit with Fertin’s strategy and business targets as well initiating contact and follow up
  • Support preparation of business cases incl. financial modelling and recommendations to management through Fertin’s stage gate process
  • Support negotiation of new agreements. Following signing of agreements, ensure that terms are implemented and respected by the relevant parties in close collaboration with Project Management and other functions
  • Secure internal execution of signed agreements, and handle and resolve or escalate issues that might escalate beyond the working teams during the execution of the agreements.
  • Support concept development and communication
  • Presentations and other preparations for customer meetings
  • Participate in customer meetings and trade shows

Required Experience & competencies:
Your background will include a relevant university degree and 2+ year of business development. Experience within the Consumer Health industry, e.g VMS and or OTC, is a clear advantage.

A successful candidate is customer focused, has an entrepreneurial & energetic mindset and is analytically strong.

Additionally, the position requires the following personal qualities: You are a team player, self-motivated, result-oriented, persistent, and you are a disciplined and structured executer with strong communication skills. You are analytically strong, good with numbers and take responsibility of your area. You must be able to speak and write fluently in English.
