In Late Formulation & Process Development you will get the opportunity to make a significant difference for people with serious skin diseases all over the world.

The job



We work in cross-functional project teams and you will join one or more development projects. Here you will be able to use your oral solid dose formulation and process development expertise on our small molecule projects.

In detail you will be expected to:

  • Be involved in our projects until two years after launch. Here you will bring expert formulation and process know-how into play in a project specific manner
  • Primarily manage outsourced projects, i.e. plan, execute and report formulation development, process development and scale-up trials using Quality by Design principles, and also organise daily work in internal laboratory
  • Transfer technology to LEO manufacturing sites or CMOs for manufacture of clinical trial medication and commercialisation
  • Prepare CMC documentation for regulatory filings

The ideal candidate


  • Master’s degree, and preferably a PhD, in pharmaceutics or related disciplines
  • +5 years relevant experience from the pharmaceutical industry
  • Strong understanding of oral solid dosage form development with Quality by Design integrated in your way of working
  • Experience with working with contract development organisations and technology transfers
  • Experience with preparation of CMC documentation for regulatory filings

We are looking for a highly motivated senior scientist with strong understanding of oral solid dosage form development. You are curious and ready to challenge yourself with standard as well as novel process types. You have a natural ability and desire to communicate and collaborate across disciplines and across sites. In our R&D environment it is important that you have a decisive, flexible and open mindset as well as a structured and solution-oriented approach.

You will join 9 passionate colleagues in the department Late Formulation & Process Development. We are accountable for final formulation, and our focus is to impact and support the late stage oral and topical small molecule development projects in LEO Pharma. The atmosphere is open and informal with enthusiastic and dedicated people.
