Are you the talented postdoc in organic chemistry we are looking for? Then come and join! We are looking for a creative and dedicated postdoc with a strong commitment to and passion for practical, synthetic organic chemistry. You will join our highly skilled organic chemistry team and together your competencies are crucial to our drug research projects, in our quest for identifying innovative treatments for people suffering from skin diseases.
You will have a great opportunity to grow your organic chemistry and drug discovery skills, by impacting our projects through your desire to synthezise novel compounds. The position will allow you to influence our future chemistry platform through close collaboration with our chemistry community.
As member of our creative and experienced organic chemistry team, you will:
The postdoc position is limited to two years and will be based in one of our MedChem departments within our Drug Design area, which consist of 3 departments all together: 2 MedChem departments and DMPK.
In our Medicinal Chemistry teams we offer unique challenges for professional and scientific development in state-of-the-art drug discovery facilities, an informal working environment and the chance to integrate into a dynamic team of experienced and enthusiastic drug hunters.
The ideal candidate has a PhD in organic chemistry and a proven track recorded in developing organic chemistry strategies and executing synthesis campaigns.

Challenging position
As member of our creative and experienced organic chemistry team, you will:
- through dedicated lab work play a key role in progressing synthetic chemistry activities according to goals and milestones
- take active part in the discovery of novel therapeutic molecules as a member of a MedChem chemistry team and encourage focus, motivation and optimal interaction within the team.
- Challenge and contribute to development of our in-house small-molecule synthetic capabilities

Your profile
The ideal candidate has a PhD in organic chemistry and a proven track recorded in developing organic chemistry strategies and executing synthesis campaigns.
Furthermore, you must possess:
- experience in tackling complex, multi-step organic chemistry campaigns.
- the ability to draft and execute successful organic chemistry campaigns
- good interdisciplinary team working skills and the ability to inspire and motivate, with a goal oriented and flexible mind-set.
- the desire and ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across disciplines in drug discovery and with external partners.
- professional fluency in written and spoken English.
