We are looking for a Cell Culture Manufacturing Scientist to become our new Subject Matter Expert on scaling up cell culture processes from small scale bioreactors to Large Scale Manufacturing in 20k L bioreactors.
You will join the Cell Culture Manufacturing Sciences team that consists of 8 dedicated professionals with advanced scientific backgrounds. Our work area spans from small scale experiments and scale up to tech transfer and large scale production support. We are responsible for the Manufacturing Sciences laboratory, technology transfer of new processes and Process Validation.
Your contribution will be important in developing our scale up strategy in cooperation with other members of the local and global teams as well as in collaboration with our customers and partners. You will be Subject Matter Expert on scale up projects from small scale lab to production scale(15K/20K). You will coordinate, plan and support laboratory experiments and provide technical risk assessments for new processes.
Qualifications:
We are looking for a skilled Scientist, who has experience with scale up of biological processes preferably from work in a pilot facility or bioreactor design development. You have several years of experience and a Bachelor, Masters or PhD in a biopharmaceutical or related field such as biochemical engineering. Experience with cell culture processes and mammalian cells including CHO would be preferred but other experience could also be relevant.
You are good at adopting and implementing new technologies and have strong knowledge in root cause investigations and data analysis. In this role, you will need to take leadership for scale up projects, mainly for laboratory activities.
You have excellent English verbal and written communication skills

As a person you are proactive and a decision maker with good problem solving skills. You possess good overall cooperation and communication skills. You are flexible and have the willingness and ability to respond to changing circumstances and expectations. You are a team player with a positive and welcoming attitude. You enjoy working with a high degree of independency.
