We are offering a 2-year postdoc position in Diabetic Kidney Disease. The research will support and expand our fast-growing field of expertise within diabetic complications, spanning from preclinical model development to advanced efficacy and translatability studies. We are looking for a person with a passion for science, who takes ownership and can transform complicated data to valuable biological results. A postdoc who is ready to set an ambitious high scientific standard.

We are focused within the disease areas of diabetes, obesity and NASH/NAFLD where many of our animal models and technological expertise’s are connected. At Gubra, we strongly believe in advancing science by continuously testing our hypotheses and trying to answer questions by conducting scientific studies in animal models or in the laboratory. As a postdoc at Gubra, you are supporting that vision by analyzing data from several areas within the organization. You will be part of our in vivo pharmacology, histology or computational science group depending on your specific scientific profile - groups that consists of highly passionate scientists, PhD students and skilled technicians.
The postdoc is funded by a Grant from the Innovation Fund Denmark entitled “translational rodent models of diabetic nephropathy”. We are looking for a candidate experienced with diabetic or chronic kidney diseases, preferably within in vivo pharmacology or bioinformatics. As a postdoc at Gubra your tasks are varied, but will include everything from hands-on experiment conduction in our animal facility and labs, to practical and theoretical scientific research, discussions, and presentations internally and externally

Required Skills and Experience:
- Have obtained a PhD degree within the past five years at the time of application (max. five years from the PhD diploma date, excl. parental or sick leave
- Be able to document a considerable research capacity within the project field by way of publications, research-based patents or similar
- At the time of application have been employed in the private sector for max. six months. This also includes Industrial PhDs educated in the private sector.
- A scientific background within in vivo pharmacology or bioinformatics will be preferred.
