If you want to be part of a Quality Control team ensuring the quality of the Novo Nordisk products at the world’s largest insulin manufacturing facility, we may be looking exactly for you. If you possess the skill set to help us maintain the highest possible level of quality, contribute to our impressive results and are ready to make a difference, maybe you are also looking for us. So here we are – a job with lots of opportunities for development in a great work environment is right here ready for you.

About the department
In the manufacturing of insulin, theory becomes reality when our eight insulin producing facilities make all the active ingredients that are the backbone of our quality products that help improve lives all over the world. You will join the Quality Control (QC) lab, a department of about 60 colleagues distributed to two chemical teams, among others, one of which you will be part of. Here, project managers, operators, engineers, lab technicians and specialists alike all work to meet the same goals. We strive to make a difference through the stabile delivery of high-quality products in full regulatory compliance to our more than 30 million patients.

We base our collaboration on trust, curiosity and a high degree of independence. However, you will never be left alone with the hard challenges, as we are great at being there for each other.

The position

You will carry the responsibility for our chemical water analysis, and since we analyse all of the water- and washing samples from all of the facilities not only our own factory but from two more factories, this will a large part of your job. You must build and maintain the technical knowledge needed to support the chemical teams and thereby ensure correct and timely analysis form the labs, in collaboration with the six other chemists in the department.

You will be expected to be present in the lab to ensure that workflows and analysis are perpetually improved. To a smaller degree, you will also sometimes be approving results and handle deviation cases. When deviations occur, you contribute to the systematic problem solving with your knowledge, experience and dedication, so any repetitions can be avoided. After a thorough onboarding process, you will quickly have a good understanding of the workflows in the lab and the needs of the business.

Besides this, we would like you to take the lead in a process group – you should expect to drive projects originating here. Apart from this, you will contribute to optimisation projects and -tasks, for instance when deviations lead to improvements in the production lines or workflows. Keeping certain process instructions (SOPs) updated and in compliance with current GMP-demands, will also be part of your routines.

You will have ample opportunities to test ideas for quality or process improvements. Your workday will be varied, and you will have a great deal of influence on your own planning – of course with acute business needs to sometimes take priority. The position is limited to a 24 months period of employment. For internal candidates, regular rules apply for transference between jobs and departments.

Qualifications
You have a background in the natural sciences, engineering, pharmacology or similar – at least on a MSc. level and with at least three years of experience in an industry like ours after graduating. Your analytical skills and your employment of structure is second maybe only to your winning nature. You are quite experienced working with chemical analysis, and preferably TOC/NVOC processes. You have the energy, motivation and curiosity to learn more about your field and the tasks you are presented with, and you have a positive, open mind when it comes to finding solutions in a complex setup with many different concerns and levels.

You are definitely a team player, but you thrive in taking independent responsibility for your tasks and projects. We also see opportunities in you – so if you have ambitions to maybe one day become a manager, a specialist or drive major projects with major impact in Novo Nordisk, maybe this job could be your way to this.

Full proficiency in Danish as well as in English is a must for this position.
