The Department of Psychology, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Copenhagen, invites applications for one or more positions as Professor in Psychology. The Department of Psychology is interested in applicants with strong research and teaching profiles. We especially encourage applicants with a background in (1) personality psychology, (2) social psychology, or (3) clinical psychology with a focus on early childhood mental health, societal impact and prevention, as well as further education activities to apply, but we also welcome applicants with a background in other areas of psychology.
The positions are available from 1 September 2020, but a later date of employment may be negotiated.
The Department of Psychology covers a broad range of disciplines including Clinical and Health Psychology, Cognitive and Neuropsychology, Developmental Psychology, Educational Psychology, Personality Psychology, Psychology of the Humanities, Social Psychology, and Work- and Organizational psychology. The department has excellent facilities for various research approaches. Our staff comprises about 35 faculty, 10 postdocs and 50 PhD students. About 240 students graduate in the five-year Master’s program in psychology per year. Next to psychology, the Faculty of Social Sciences includes the Departments of Anthropology, Economics, Political Science and Sociology, as well as several active research centers that bring together researchers across disciplines.
Qualifications
Applicants for a full professorship must be able to document a high degree of original scholarly production at international high level and have a recognised international/national reputation.

Conditions of employment
The position is offered as an ordinary permanent professorship. Salary and conditions of employment will be in accordance with the agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC). The annual salary is currently DKK 631,596. In addition to the salary paid directly to you, the University will also pay a monthly contribution to your pension fund corresponding to 17.1 % of your salary. Negotiation for additional supplements will be possible. A special tax scheme is offered to researchers recruited abroad, see http://ism.ku.dk/onarrival/taxes/

- The ability to further the professional advance of the field of Psychology
- Strong teaching qualifications
- Management experience in relation to research and teaching
- Experience with project management and external fundraising

- A commitment to working as part of a team and assisting in the smooth running of the department and its teaching programs
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills that enable the development of internal networks

- Teaching, supervision and examination of undergraduate, graduate, and PhD students
- Research leadership
- Project management and external fundraising
- Research and teaching management and development
- Administrative tasks related to the position
