ASSISTANT TEACHING PROFESSOR IN CHOREOGRAPHY
The dance programmes at the Copenhagen campus at The Danish National School of Performing Arts (DASPA) seek a teaching assistant professor for a fixed-term appointment from 15 February 2022 to 30 June 2023.
The work assignments concern planning and facilitating teaching modules within the three programmes at the dance department in close collaboration with the other faculty members.The work focuses mostly on project modules but may also include teaching in other subjects in the study plan and/or at other programmes in the school, depending on the personal qualifications.
All dance programmes are offered in English, and it is a prerequisite that you have good English skills.

We are looking for a colleague with:
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
The position is set to 30% of a full-time position - the average weekly working time is 11.1 hours. The precise schedule of working hours will vary and will be agreed on together with your personnel manager. The nature of the work demands ongoing presence at the school.
The salary is subject to the collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Government-Employed Academics (Akademikere i Staten). It will be possible to negotiate individual, qualification-based allowances.
Start date 15 February 2022. The appointment runs until 30 June 2023.
Your personnel manager will be Head of Dance and Choreography Rasmus Ölme.
Your permanent place of work will be the Danish National School of Performing Arts’ campus in Copenhagen, but you will also be expected to attend at the school’s other campuses in Fredericia, Odense, and Aarhus.

A selection of qualified applicants will be invited for an interview. More detailed information about this will be communicated to those who are called. The interview will take place in late January 2022. Eventual travel expenses and accommodation for this will be covered.
NB. Applicants who are not invited for an interview will be notified about the outcome of the recruitment process, as it has come to an end. The school will not be able to provide information during the process.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary tasks and responsibilities are
- to plan and facilitate courses at the Bachelor's Programme in Dance and Choreography, and at the Master's Programmes in Choreography and in Dance and Participation.
- coordination with the study administration in regards to pedagogical activities in the programmes.
- supervision and coaching of the students, both individually and in groups.
- assistance with the organisation and the carrying out of examinations and evaluations.
- participation in pedagogical and artistic development together with colleagues in the programmes as well as the school in its entirety.
- teaching and development within the other programmes at the school.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for a colleague with:
- solid experience of planning and facilitating teaching in higher education on the highest international level.
- extensive professional experience in different roles (such as performing, teaching, facilitating and producing) at high level within the field of contemporary dance and choreography.
- strong knowledge of contemporary dance as a subject - its history, development and working methods.
- ability and willingness to engage in close collaborations with colleagues and students and contribute actively to creating a vibrant school of performing arts.
- willingness to experiment with teaching methods.
- strong skills in collaborating with different professionals and personalities within an organisation.
- experience with and a desire to work interdisciplinary.
