This is a new full-time position (37 hours per week) open for employment on 1 March 2023 or as soon as possible. It is a one-year position at the Danish Dementia Research Centre with an aim to being enrolled as a PhD student at the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Copenhagen, after which the employment is expected to be extended to a 3-year PhD fellowship.

The Danish Dementia Research Centre (DDRC) is anchored in the Department of Neurology at Copenhagen University Hospital, Rigshospitalet, as an independent, cross-specialty and interdisciplinary unit. We work with assessment, treatment, research, education, and dissemination of knowledge about dementia to professionals at all levels. One of the research areas is early diagnostics and biomarkers, including validation of blood-based biomarkers and cross-cultural cognitive tests.
About the research project
The project is part of the international multicenter EDAP-AD study, which aims to develop and validate easily accessible diagnostic and prognostic biomarker-based algorithms for Alzheimer's disease that are based of clinical data from multicultural patient populations. In this study, the diagnostic value of algorithms based on blood-based biomarkers for Alzheimer's disease and cross-cultural cognitive tests (Rowland Universal Dementia Assessment Scale, Multicultural Cognitive Examination) will be evaluated in multicultural patient populations across several European countries. Furthermore, the diagnostic value of different cross-cultural cognitive tests will be evaluated in groups of patients with different dementia disorders.
We are looking for a research assistant who
• has a relevant Master's degree (e.g., MSc in psychology, MSc in medicine)
• have experience with or interest in research
• is systematic, structured, and good at independently coordinating several and diverse tasks
It is an advantage if you
• has experience from work in the field of dementia and/or cognitive assessment
• are good at establishing contact with local and international collaborators
• can collaborate broadly with different professional groups
• has a flair for statistical analyses
