Then you are on the right path to become our new colleague. We are looking for an experienced research scientist to help us optimise cell based potency assays used for clinical studies. About the Department

As part of Novo Nordisk’s R&D family, CMC (Chemical Manufacturing and Controls) Development makes a real difference for patients with chronic diseases across the world. We develop, manufacture and distribute drug candidates for non-clinical and clinical trials.

The department CMC Bioanalysis is part of the Novo Nordisk Research & Development (R&D) family. We develop bioassays for analysis of in process samples, drug substance, and drug product samples for the entire Novo Nordisk project portfolio in clinical trials all over the world. You will join a team of 16 highly skilled scientists and laboratory technicians who work closely on projects to deliver on time at the right quality.

The position

As research scientist, you will be responsible for the timely development and validation/qualification of cell-based potency assays, and approval and release of potency results in compliance with GMP. This includes planning of laboratory work, reviewing data, handling of non-conformities, change requests as well as qualification and maintenance of equipment and instruments.

In addition, you will be responsible for the performance and optimisation of analytical assays for specific clinical projects within the Novo Nordisk project portfolio. This will include participation in cross organizational project groups, collaboration with other departments both in Research Units and in manufacturing (Product Supply), and transfer of analytical methods.

As part of your role, you will initiate contact with relevant internal or external stakeholders in order to secure the best possible scientific cooperation and results across functions and teams.

You can look forward to using your skills and talent not only in our department but across Drug Product Development which covers analysis, drug product development and stability testing within the entire R&D clinical portfolio.

Qualifications
You hold a Master of Science or a PhD within Pharmacy, biomedicine, cell biology, biochemistry or similar, ideally combined with relevant experience with potency and bioassays from the pharmaceutical or biotech industry. It is an advantage if you have been working in a GMP environment. Furthermore, you have experience or a keen interest for lean and continuous improvement and you possess an open mind-set regarding digitalization and automation.

As a person you are a proactive team player that naturally builds relations to colleagues and stakeholders in the organization. You are an independent person that drives initiatives to reach goals and meet necessary deadlines. You are able to handle several tasks at the same time and you never lose sight of the end goal. Lastly, you have good communication skills and a positive and curious mind-set.
