Do you want to be part of the drug development process in Novo Nordisk? In the department CMC Bioanalysis, we characterize cell banks, optimize assays for drug substance (DS) and drug product (DP) development and are responsible for fast analytical results mainly for phase 1 and phase 2 clinical studies.

If you enjoy working in an open, dynamic and social atmosphere with a strong focus on science and a mixture of GSP and GMP; you may be our new scientist!

About the department
CMC Bioanalysis is part of the Novo Nordisk Research & Development (R&D) family. We develop bioanalyses and deliver analytical results incl. characterization of cell banks and analysis of in process samples, DS and DP samples for the entire NN project portfolio in clinical trials all over the world. The department operates under GMP regulation.

The position
As our new colleague, you will be part of a team of 4 scientists and 8 laboratory technicians. You will be part of a team building competencies within endotoxin testing mainly conducting LER-screening in the traditional LAL-assay (incl. demasking strategies/test of orthogonal methods (e.g. MAT) in case of LER). You bring solid knowledge within this area, and you are expected to be the driving force in the department when it comes to knowledge sharing on this specific topic. As a Research Scientist, you will also be involved in our other analyses within process related impurities and characterisation of cell banks using techniques such as qPCR, ELISA, NGS and Southern Blot.

You are expected to take an active part in the daily operation of our laboratories including optimisation of workflows, method development/optimization, SOP authoring, release of analytical results and troubleshooting of assays, when needed. Furthermore, you will be participating in cross organisational project groups and collaborating with other departments both in Quality Control and in other R&D research units.

Qualifications
You hold an academic degree within natural sciences with proven skills within molecular biology, preferably but not necessarily, with a PhD degree. Our working language is Danish, but many meetings are also carried out in English and thus, you should be fluent (oral and written) in both Danish and English. Experience with GMP as well as experience with qPCR, ELISA, NGS and Southern Blot is a plus, but not a prerequisite.

You have an eye for continuous improvements, strive for simplicity and advocate the necessity of documentation and traceability. We are a highly automated department and therefore, you must also have an open mind-set regarding optimisation, automation and digitalisation.

As a person you enjoy being part of a team but are still able to work independently. You strive to improve the way you work by use of science and an on-going constructive dialogue with your colleagues. You can handle several tasks at the same time and are self-confident in reaching the goals ahead of you. You have good communication skills and a positive mind-set. Furthermore, a good sense of humour and a light-hearted view on life will make a good match with your new colleagues in CMC Bioanalysis.
