Department of Antibody Technology has an opening for a talented Scientist with a strong background within antibody discovery and in vitro display technologies. With this position we wish to expand our department to meet an increased demand in projects and our technological development.

About the Department

Antibody Technology is part of Global Research Technologies at Novo Nordisk and is located in Måløv in the Greater Copenhagen area of Denmark.

We develop therapeutic and assay antibodies for projects across the Novo Nordisk therapy areas. We utilise state of the art antibody technologies such as yeast display, hybridoma, and single cell technologies. High-throughput processes are an integral part of our daily work and a key element in both cell culturing and screening workflows. The department consists of 4 scientists and 8 technicians highly skilled in antibody discovery. We work in a flexible, highly collaborative, and cross-functional setting with a continuous focus on development of new technologies and personal competences.

The position

The research and discovery work within Global Research Technologies is organized in multidisciplinary cross-functional project teams, and you will represent the department in several projects as an expert within antibody technologies. You will be responsible for designing the antibody campaigns to meet diverse MoAs in the different therapeutic areas. Moreover, you will contribute to maturing and advancing scientific ideas into projects within the different therapeutic areas of Novo Nordisk. In your daily work, you will collaborate closely with project teams, department scientists, and laboratory technicians. The work environment in Global Research Technologies is dynamic and innovative and you will interact with colleagues from research sites in USA and China.

Qualifications

You hold a Ph.D. and have significant research experience from an industrial or highly regarded academic laboratory. You are experienced in antibody discovery using display technologies such as yeast, phage or mammalian display. Experience with hybridoma technology, single cell sorting and cloning, and NGS methods is considered an advantage. A good understanding of molecular biology and immunology is essential, whereas know-how and experience with automated or semi-automated systems is also appreciated in this position. Finally, research experience from the pharmaceutical industry with preclinical development of biologics, including a track record of engaging with cross-disciplinary scientists to evaluate targets for new drug discovery projects is valuable for this position.
