About the team

The position is anchored in the Oral Protein Formulation (OPF) area in our R&D organisation. You will join the team Future Manufacturing and Digital Innovation, whose key mission is to redefine our research and production approach by creating a fully data driven and continuous process for oral tablet formulation, production and analysis from end to end. We aim to create a paradigm altering approach to drug development by redesigning and digitalizing the process.

The team consists of 17 highly skilled subject matter experts with different scientific background, ranging from technicians, formulation specialists and data scientists to analytical experts and automation engineers and we need an entrepreneurial-minded IT scientist to join them and help implement the required software applications.

The job

As IT scientist, you will be responsible for requirement analysis and implementation of GxP critical IT systems used in OPF to support the production process development as well as the future Product Supply IT setup. As production equipment and processes are developed and optimized, you need to ensure that all our IT systems always are following Novo Nordisk’s procedures and external guidelines for computer systems validation (e.g. GAMP) and that we are ready to meet the standards of the future. To achieve that, you continuously plan and perform implementation and validation activities, and you ensure IT security and data integrity.

You will have the opportunity to get professional sparring and exchange best practices with an internal network of IT employees and data scientists and with our central IT organisation. The nature of the position allows for continuous development of your IT and personal skills.

Qualifications

We expect that you have the following background and experience:

  • A Master’s degree within natural sciences, IT engineering or similar.
  • Hands-on experience from IT system implementation or with analysis of software to support production processes is a must
  • Experience in IT/computer system validation, IT infrastructure building, manufacturing processes and perhaps experience with the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience with production execution and interfacing systems will be an advantage
  • Proficiency in English is required, and Danish or another Scandinavian language is a plus
