The project will have focus on developing novel methodologies within operando X-ray absorption spectroscopy. Furthermore, the project will involve use of synchrotron X-ray scattering, material synthesis, battery fabrication, electrochemical analysis and general material characterization (thermal analysis, electron microscopy, surface area analysis etc.).

The candidate should have a good knowledge of inorganic chemistry, solid state chemistry, electrochemistry and chemical synthesis. Some insight into the basic of X-ray absorption spectroscopy and experience with powder diffraction and Rietveld refinement are prerequisites.

The appointment will be for a term of three (5+3 programme for applicants with a Master's degree) or four years (4+4 programme for students who have not yet finished their Master studies). Teaching duties of related subjects will be part of the programme.
