Overview:
Roskilde, Denmark is a Manufacturing site for Laboratory Consumables - Injection molding manufacturing
Position Summary:
The successful candidate will assist the Cell Culture Plastics R&D Group in developing new plastic consumable products for cultivation, sampling and storage of cellular material. The position is a lab-based role and the candidate will be expected to work on multiple tasks or projects simultaneously and should be highly self-motivated. The candidate will primarily execute lab experiments as part of cross-functional development teams and is expected to participate in team-meetings with data-presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Proactively drive execution of assays
• Provide context to help determine next step lab activities for the project
• Ultimately, to work with limited supervision to identify, introduce, develop and apply the necessary techniques to achieve the goals of the project
• Manage lab tasks according to milestones and deliverables for projects
• Investigate and implement analytical methods, involving new instrumentation and/or experimental protocols for testing new and existing products
• Proactively work together with R&D personel to ensure that labs are well-functioning, e.g by ordering of chemicals and cleaning of labs
• Ensure Safety at work is a natural part of the work and the deliverables.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Educational background:
• B.S or M.S degree in Cell biology with 2+ years of relevant experience with mammalian cell culture technique. Candidates holding a PhD will not be considered.
Experience:
• Experience of mammalian cell culture and aseptic technique
• Experience in cell based assays
• Experience in molecular biology methods
Professional qualifications:
• Must have the ability to maintain records of work performed and report on a regular basis
• Must have the ability to multi-task and work with several stakeholders at the same time
• Must be proficient using MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Effective communication skills with ability to clearly present scientific results and conclusions.
• Proficient English in writing and verbally
• Proficient Danish in writing and verbally
