You know that product-making is a big machine with many viewpoints and stakeholders, and you can maneuver through these with a conscious choice of methods, distinguishing between personal taste and professional opinions.

You easily keep an overview of the big picture, as well as the fine details, understanding why they are important and how everything ties together. Lastly, you can explain your reasoning, accept a challenge, and make decisions.

  • Understanding the user, the business, and the technology – often you will be asked to consider specific use-cases, which is why a holistic approach is important for you to understand key requirements from various disciplines

  • Defining design requirements – you will detail the product requirements and, based on your great communication skills, ensure alignment with disciplines such as Product Management, Software, Mechanics, etc.

  • Enhancing the UX Department’s competencies – we strive to become even better at creating valuable and desirable devices for the user, but also high-quality deliveries to our internal stakeholders in the organization. To do this, we focus on our knowledge base (the UX Backbone) identifying and solving items that will enhance our knowledge within the UX discipline

And one more thing. Everyone in the UX department has a professional edge that lifts the whole group. In your application, please let us know what your edge is (i.e. how do you see your T-shape?).

We expect you to have:

  • Proven experience working in a UX role – this is a mid-senior level position, so proven experience in a UX role or similar is very important. It is important for us that you know and trust your own toolbox and you are highly self-driven, yet very involving, when assigned a task

  • Problem-solving aptitude – you will be faced with many interesting challenges, and it’s important that you have the right mindset to process each of them

  • Flair for anthropometry – you will be a vital part of defining the user’s overall comfort, fit and ergonomic experience, which is why you need to have an interest to dive deep into understanding all the parameters that needs to be specified

  • Material knowledge – with our mechanical engineers and industrial designers, you will explore and test different material technologies to optimize the wearing comfort of new headsets

  • Excellent communication skills – you will facilitate alignment meetings with many stakeholders from various disciplines, ensuring that the product is on the right track. This will require you to be clear in your communication, verbally and in writing.
