The Danish nursery ‘Gartneriet Møllerhøj’ seeks young and energetic people, who wants to get an education as a gardener. The education lasts 3,8 years and takes place in the city Odense in Denmark. During the education there are periods with work at the nursery, and periods where you have to go to school. The teaching lessons take place on the educational institution Kold College in Odense. The teaching will be in English. In the nursery we often speak English, because we have employees with different kinds of nationalities. So, it is no problem, if you don’t speak Danish.
Often, we make contracts with students, which last 2 years. We believe that it is important, that the students get professional experience from different kinds of nurseries. We have a three-month probationary period. But you must know, that you always have the right to stop the education, if you find out, that you don’t want to be a gardener. We will do our best to train you in the nursery and to get you feel comfortable.

About Gartneriet Møllerhøj:
Gartneriet Møllerhøj A/S is placed in the middle of Denmark’s biggest cluster of nurseries in Stige near Odense. It has existed since the 1st of January 1996 and now the nursery is 70.000 m2. During the spring we supplement the area with 100.000 m2 of greenhouses, that we rent. We are a growth company and right now we are expanding the nursery, and we expect the new buildings to be ready in the spring 2020. We have about 30 employees over the year. I the busy season from April to August we have a lot more employees. You will be a part of a good and safe workplace, where we prioritize your welfare. During the year we arrange arrangements for the employees to create a strong collegial unity. In the nursery we produce different kinds of plants of first quality e.g. Hydrangea and Poinsettia. - Pot, stick and pinch plants
- Pack plants
- Create distance between the plants
- Work with conveyor belt which transport plants
- Work with machines, which can pot and sheet plants
- Drive tractor (and truck if you have a certificate)
About you:
- speak English on a basic level
- have finished primary school
- are energetic and wants to learn a lot about plants and cultivation
- have a good sense of humor
- are impassioned about plants
