We are currently looking for an experienced and passionate Mechanical Engineer to join our R&D team at Competence Centre Sensing in Sønderborg, to further strengthen our development of mechanical solutions within our sensing product portfolio. As Mechanical Engineer, your main responsibilities are specification, development and maintenance of mechanical solutions within our sensing product portfolio. You will be involved in all phases of the development process translating product ideas into products ready to be sold. You will contribute to ensuring a high-level of quality in the mechanical development and design. In addition, your key responsibilities will be:
Your working base will be in Sønderborg, and you will be part of an experienced and skilled R&D team. You will work closely together with Product Management and Design, and also collaborate with various people internally in the organization and externally. You will refer to the R&D Manager at Competence Centre Sensing in Sønderborg.</p Background and skills
For this position, you hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering. Further-more, we expect you to have +5 years of experience in creating mechanical solutions in a similar position, preferably within the electronic business. In addition, you possess the following competencies:

You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, optionally knowledge of Danish or wish to learn the language,

As Mechanical Engineer, your main responsibilities are specification, development and maintenance of mechanical solutions within our sensing product portfolio. - Work together with colleagues from R&D, Product Management, Design and our customers to understand problems and market needs and translate these into technical specifications</li
- Ideation and conceptualizing of the problems and market needs into different tangible and testable concepts able to be validated
- Ensure the selected concept is fully developed into a robust and manufacturable product
- Select the right material (plastic/metal) based on your test results
- Manage supplier/partner relations – set technical specifications and acceptance criteria

- Strong experience in CAD modelling
- Plastic injection molding

- Experience in developing electronic consumer goods
- Experience with Siemens NX
- Experience with Finite element analysis
- Sheet metal parts
