Do you have hands-on expertise in PCB’s and electronic components and are you an expert in troubleshooting based on large data sets? If yes, then please read more about this opportunity to be part of an international company where you will be a key employee on our Star Cool refrigeration machine in our System & Maintenance department.
As one of our experts in electronic components, you will be the preferred ‘go-to-person’ and in-house trouble shooter on a broad range of electrical components related to our Star Cool refrigeration machine.
By maintaining our automatic test system and taking it to the next level you will be able to generate and analyze large datasets in order to optimize and further refine our product.
You will have plenty of opportunities to show your initiative, working in an environment with a global reach. You will be part of the large team at MCI that oversees a fleet of over 400,000 Star Cool® reefer machines in operation around the world.

MCI is located in Tinglev in the Southern part of Denmark, close to attractive cities like Sønderborg, Kolding and Flensburg. We have strong local roots but act on a truly global stage. You will be our new technical expert in a smaller team of dedicated employees. You will work closely with the R&D and Quality departments and report directly to the Head of System & Maintenance.
You will be investigating and troubleshooting on the electronic components such as print boards or sensors based on input from the Quality department and Data collected though our automated test system, as well as maintaining the automated test system and ensuring that it contains relevant data. It is therefore important that you have some experience with coordinating smaller projects.
As trouble shooter expert you are also our key stakeholder for communicating with selected external suppliers.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
• Take ownership of troubleshooting on electronic components on the Star Cool refrigeration machine
• Identify mitigation areas, actions and specifying improvements to relevant parts
• Be the preferred go-to-person on the Star Cool automatic test system
To be a match for the role as our new Electronics Engineer, we imagine that you have 5+ years of experience in the electronics area and know your way around Trouble Shooting, Automatic Testing and analysis of large Data sets
We are looking for a self-starter who has a good holistic view and a good sense of urgency in terms of prioritization of tasks.
You are open, a trusted advisor, possess a process optimization mindset and you are brave in challenging existing solutions and ideas.
We expect that you are open and appreciate the opportunity to learn new things. You prefer to have your own responsibility areas for a broad range of technical tasks.
Additionally, we expect you to have:
• Bachelor’s degree as an Electronics Engineer or similar
• Experience with electronic components and automatic test systems
• A customer centric mindset and have a solid understanding of technical terms
• Strong team spirit but also won’t hesitate to challenge your colleagues in order to ensure that we deliver high quality results
• Good sense of humor, and a social and accommodating nature
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are a prerequisite
