Do you want to support DRC in being forefront with Fair and Equitable Compensation and Benefits for all staff? The Global Compensation and Benefits Advisor will ensure that DRC policies, processes, tools and guidelines are equitable, and support Fair Rewards within the organisation. As part of the International HR Partnering and Recruitment team, you will be working closely with our HR Partners and other specialists across the organisation within legal advice, recruitment, policy development, learning & development, etc.

People & Organisation gathers HR, IT, Code of Conduct and Internal communication in one because these are core elements to become a successful organisation with engaged employees so we can support people of concern in the best possible way.

In this role, you will be part of the International Partnering and Recruitment Team composed of 8 employees. The team is part of the global HR Department in HQ, with around 30 employees in total.

About the job

DRC’s Global Compensation and Benefits Advisor is responsible for ensuring a fair and efficient Compensation and Benefits strategy and policy in order to attract, retain, engage, and motivate employees. The Global Compensation & Benefits Advisor will also, in close cooperation with the HR Partners, be advising leaders on best practices for fair and equitable entitlements that are aligned with legal requirements in the different countries where we operate and support the organisation’s needs and ensure cost effectiveness.

This role is new in DRC and you would need to shape high level priorities independently.

In addition, the position:

  • Leads global Compensation and Benefits projects in line with DRC strategy to attract, develop and retain people. This includes updating and aligning DRC position structure (inspired by Mercer methodology) and revising the global compensation and benefits policies.
  • Leads DRC Global Compensation and Benefits project and initiative to support our objectives of attracting, retaining and engaging talent and aligned
  • Designs new and improves existing benefits and entitlements policies and tools to improve performance, engagement, retention and satisfaction of employees
  • Is Responsible for benchmarking global compensation and entitlements
  • Continuously evaluates the effectiveness of our Compensation and Benefits initiatives to ensure they are aligned with gobal strategies and monitors trends to make recommendations for changes, as appropriate
  • Capacity building local and Regional HR on benchmarking and salary survey analysis and salary audits through training, mentoring, webinars etc. in coordination with HR Partners
  • Monitors the use and application of CompenBen policy and tools to ensure they are professionally and compliantly executed and implemented in a timely manner

About you

To be successful in this role we expect you to have an in-depth understanding of the opportunities and obstacles related to Compensation and Benefits in an International environment that may emerge in large multinational organisations, especially when headquarters are in the Global North but primarily working while operating in the Global South.

You are apt at finding opportunities to collaborate within the organisation, able to find championing allies and get people with you along our journey.

In addition, you have

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience working with compensation and benefits preferably in another international NGO
  • At least 3 years of experience as project manager
  • A proven track record of achievement in a previous, similar global role
  • Knowledge and experience of global compensation packages (within an INGO context would be an advantage)
  • Ability to analyze complex organisational challenges and present innovative solutions
  • Ability to support and communicate with teams in a positive and professional manner
  • Strong organisational analytical and administrative skills, including a strong ability to focus on detail and quality
  • Excellent relationship management skills and ability to communicate in all forms (written, verbal, negotiation, presentation skills, etc.)

Moreover, we also expect the following:

  • University degree in relevant field
  • Fluent in English
  • Danish is an asset

Nevertheless, your ideas, inventiveness, and willingness to try new things are more important than your track record.

We offer

Contract length: permanent

Workplace: Borgergade 10 in central Copenhagen

Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the agreement between DRC and AC. The position is at “specialkonsulent” (senior) level. This is a national position for which local terms and conditions apply.
