Senior HR Business Partner to DHI – Copenhagen / Malmø / Berlin


An exciting opportunity for a commercial-minded HR professional, who wants to support a passionate best-in-class advisory and engineering business on their transformation journey. You come with a broad HR know-how and experience and like that you cannot always foresee what the day brings. You will get a unique opportunity to influence the future HR-landscape as it is currently being re-invented to ensure a strong foundation to provide business relevant and value-adding leadership support and people development in our new organisation.

As Senior HR Business Partner at DHI, you will be responsible for two (new) Global Business Units that are each headed by a member of the DHI Executive Leadership Team, where commercial focus and a strong sense of purpose are central for the businesses’ success. You will join a Global HR Community across DHI and work closely together with a team of HRBPs and the HR operations team in Prague and also cooperation on projects and topics with HR Learning and Communications partners. You report to the SVP People & Communications.

As DHI has offices in several countries, incl. Copenhagen, Malmø and Berlin, they are flexible about your location, hence it can be in either one of the three mentioned. Regardless where you are based, you should expect 20-30 travelling days on a yearly basis.

The job


As Senior HR Business Partner, you work globally, delivering end-to-end HR processes on a tactical and strategic level as well as supporting with hands-on people related matters. Strategically, you work closely with the global leadership teams driving and advising on the people agenda in development initiatives, organisational changes and performance management. You will also support the leaders with the operational deliverables for your business units with strong support from the HR Operations team.

Other tasks you can look forward too:

  • Coach, support, mentor, and challenge leaders to continuously put leadership on the agenda and focus on strengthening their personal leadership.
  • Drive and support core HR processes such as performance management, leadership development, talent development, talent acquisition, workforce planning, succession planning, etc.
  • Sustain and further develop DHI as an attractive and innovative place to work for highly qualified people.
  • Deliver on the people priorities and take active part in improving current HR operations, systems, processes and technology.

The profile


You demonstrate a strong business acumen and have extensive experience in working with knowledge-based organisations with highly skilled employees – such as Engineering, Advisory, Technical Industry or others – who are innovative in their approach to work. As a person, it is natural for you to build and maintain trust and relationships across cultures and organisational levels. You are passionate about your work and have a strong personal drive, integrity and empathy.

Professionally, you have end-to-end experience within HR Partnering tasks and have developed into a mature and trusted HR Partner, with years of experience in supporting Senior Management.

Additional to the aforementioned, here a few additional requirements that are important:

  • Master’s degree in HRM, Communications or equivalent, combined with a good practical experience in HR. It is a strong plus
  • Understanding the drivers in a global organisation with a local presence from own experience
  • Experience from driving or supporting:
    • change management processes across cultures
    • transformation processes going from product-focus to customer focus (Commercial excellence)

  • Background in a consultancy and/or engineering organization where knowledge/science/innovation is the heart of the company
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
