We are looking for the right person to join us on this incredible journey, where you as Category Manager for Special Projects will play a key role in establishing and maintaining partnerships with key partners while developing best-in-class Category strategies. You will be combining a strong liaison with existing services categories as well as the development of brand-new categories across multiple disciplines and geographies to support the ongoing transformation to net-zero shipping.

Key Responsibilities

As Category Manager, you will be responsible for laying the foundation for our approach to the projects within new and existing categories.

Close collaboration with selected partners is the key to achieving our ambitious strategy and you will be tasked with building and further developing these partnerships, both internally and externally. Furthermore, you will be participating in the development of a decarbonization category. This will require strong stakeholder management skills and you will need to establish seamless processes to ensure our minimum compliance standards.

As part of the establishment of large-scale green fuel production, you will play a key role in moving Maersk further in our green sustainability agenda. You will take part in ensuring that synergies are unlocked, procurement processes are developed and implemented, and spending is continuously optimized.

Besides your category responsibilities, you are also expected to take active participation in setting the direction for our team. You will represent procurement in cross-functional strategic workstreams and ensure that we are creating a real impact across Maersk.

Who we are looking for

Our employees represent a wide range of educational backgrounds, work experience and nationalities – But most important to us are your personal skills. You must be structured, self-driven with a focused sense of detail, and interpersonal- and communication skills. You must thrive in a fast paced, fast changing and engaged environment and be a true team player.

The ideal candidate has:

· Minimum 3-5 years’ experience with Procurement, Supply Chain Management and ideally have experience from Service Procurement in a larger organization

· Experience with developing and executing global category strategies (experience within engineering services, oil & gas or heavy industry is a plus)

· Subject matter understanding (or a keen interest to develop) within the procurement of services

· Your strategic and commercial qualifications are focused and proven as are your negotiations skills

· It is a prerequisite that you are fluent in English
