Assistant Category Manager, Ground Handling

To support our growing own controlled Air Offering, we are looking for a new colleague in our Air Category Management team, with the ability to adapt and be proactive on this new and exciting journey.

Key responsibilities

We are looking for an Assistant Category Manager to join our international team. As Assistant Category Manager for Ground Handling, you will work closely with your peers to implement the global ground handling strategy throughout our Air network.

As Assistant Category Manager for Ground Handling you will be responsible for roll-out and implementation of the Global Category Strategy for Ground Handling.

Your area of responsibility includes:

  • Implementation of Global Ground Handling Strategy in close alignment with the regional Ground Handling Category Managers
  • Ensure that the right Ground Handling Agreements are in place for the Entry into Service of our new 777F aircraft
  • Support the ramp up of a global network for Ground Handling
  • Tender strategy, negotiations and contracting
  • Deliver category specific inputs to Air Asset Category Playbook
  • Develop and implement relevant processes enabling category standardization and scalability
  • Stakeholder management with relevant internal and external partners
  • Supplier relationship management for key regional partners

Who we are looking for

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with focus on Procurement, Sourcing, Network, Airline operations
  • Category Management experience is an advantage
  • Excellent stakeholder management and strong communication skills
  • Comfortable with Senior Executives
  • Ability to adapt approach and communication to audience
  • Ability to exercise impact without direct authority
  • A self-starter, with the ability to constructively challenge the status quo
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator in English
