Global Procurement Powertrain Nacelles & Towers Electrical
Vestas Global Procurement is responsible for all procurement activities within Vestas, including leading cross-functional commodity teams, negotiations and contract management, development of end-to-end cost out initiatives, commodity strategy development, and supplier relationship management.
The category for which the purchaser is needed is Electrical. This area consists of multiple suppliers spread out globally with a 3-digit million EUR spend per year. This position is related to switch gears in the Electrical Department and is part of a global team that consists of employees in Denmark, Tianjin and Chennai. The team is characterised by a strong team spirit, effective collaboration, and a positive and open-minded working environment. We value independence, initiative, and a high degree of freedom to plan your work, but you can always rely on experienced colleagues, ready to get you well onboarded.

As Purchaser, you will join a committed and engaged team with a high level of strategic exposure within Vestas. Your everyday activities will be characterised by a high activity level and the requirement to engage in, handle and prioritise between multiple different projects. Qualifications
On a professional level we imagine that you have a degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Sales/Marketing, or Engineering, preferably combined with work experience within strategic purchasing, technical procurement, or similar. Further, you possess the following skills:

Responsibilities
As Purchaser, you will join a committed and engaged team with a high level of strategic exposure within Vestas. Your everyday activities will be characterised by a high activity level and the requirement to engage in, handle and prioritise between multiple different projects. Overall expected deliverables include:
- Participate in strategy and roadmap development - act on behalf of the Category Management Team (CMT) towards the projects
- Align internally in the electrical category for the platform launches (timelines, forecast, supplier categories, etc.)
- Early supplier involvement - focusing on complexity reduction, design to cost, standardisation and capacity risks
- Perform cross-functional projects across CMT's in the category
Qualifications
On a professional level we imagine that you have a degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Sales/Marketing, or Engineering, preferably combined with work experience within strategic purchasing, technical procurement, or similar. Further, you possess the following skills:
- Good communication skills and fluency in English (both orally and in writing)
- Solid stakeholder management skills
- A commercial mind-set
- Advanced user of MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel and Word). SAP Experience is a plus
- Experience with mechanical and/or electrical components is a plus, but not a requirement
