On behalf of this client, we are now looking for a Sourcing Specialist who will take the lead in driving and developing the sourcing activities for Major Projects in Denmark and Norway for our client´s Scandinavian office.
What’s the job all about?
As a Sourcing Specialist for large volume and Major Projects, you will be responsible for delivering according to the strategic plan which you develop in accordance with the company´s and Sourcing strategy.
Being responsible for large volume and Major projects within the company´s Sourcing team, you execute sourcing plans for the Scandinavian office while working closely together with the local organization based in Denmark and Norway.
You have an important role in every big project and together with the local sales teams you create the basis for the company´s tender and their larger customers.
In collaboration with the sourcing specialists for the whole of Scandinavia, you will negotiate both with subcontractors and material suppliers and identify local sourcing opportunities, including potential savings, and you ensure correct delivery, quality, and price with a focus on creating sustainable partnerships.
You meet physically with suppliers and colleagues in the Scandinavian countries; and occasional travelling to the Headquarters and other locations will also be required.
The role is based outside Copenhagen – Denmark, and reports to the Sourcing Manager Scandinavia, based in Stockholm, Sweden.
What do you bring to the role in order to succeed?
Preferably at least 4-5 years of sourcing experience in manufacturing or related industries and other relevant areas. Experience from category responsibility is a merit.
Business acumen, proven track record of strong business partnering; ability to provide actionable insights, influence decision-making and proactively drive business performance.
Stakeholder and Change management, skills within project- and contract management accompanied by excellent negotiation skills.
Understanding of Purchasing process (PtoP) in preferably SAP or in another ERP system.
Fluent level (spoken and written) of English and preferably also Danish, but not a requirement.
Extra desirable is if you have deeper experience of purchasing processes such as P2P and have knowledge and experience in communication.
