Our client is a very successful, full-service international design company in Dubai that specializes in residential projects
and a bit in commercial, and hospitality projects. They mix the all-time famous Nordic style with an international
touch.
They are looking to grow their fantastic team with a new position as a Furniture Procurement Manager.
Job purpose
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, has a passion for interior design and has a knack for international furniture
brands, preferably the Scandinavian style. Together with one of the owners of the company the person will be
responsible for sourcing, negotiating and buying mainly European furniture to their new showroom. A main
responsibility will naturally be handling the entire logistics and delivery operation to top-notch standard.
Key responsibilities
• Responsible for the overall direction and coordination of sourcing tasks including developing all commercial
relationships, ensure proper margin returns, quality, delivery, and sustainability.
• Oversee the development and implementation of strategies that actively search for performance
improvement and cost reduction opportunities by understanding customer needs & supply market trends.
• Coordinates FFE (Furniture, Fixtures, Equipment) requirements with the Design Documentation Process (CD’s
and Specifications); and Client Reviews.
• Establish & maintain collaborative relationships with Clients, A&E Professionals, Contractors / GC’s, FFE and
Relocation Vendors.
• Stock planning in sync with business plan.
• Perform category management including strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, contract,
performance and risk management
• Perform procurement reporting and analysis of management information to identify potential improvement
opportunities
• Identify innovative procurement solutions that provide cashable savings and process efficiencies for the
organization.
Our Wishes
• Must have a Bachelor’s degree similar to Business, Design, Project Management, or a related field to the
Design, Furniture or Relocations.
• Experience in project management & logistics
• Must have an unyielding passion in interior design and architectural designs.
• Must possess solid negotiation and conflict resolutions skills.
• Proven ability to successfully initiate, plan, execute, and close all project deliverables as committed.
• Excellent organizational, problem solving, logistical planning, interpersonal, verbal and written
communication skills.
• Must be familiar with MS Office
