The position

Reporting to VP & Head of Business Area Food & Pharma you will have full responsibility for Business Unit Food including both financial responsibility and operational responsibility. You are responsible for the BU business plan, and as member of the Business Area leadership team, you will contribute to the development of the BA strategy. You will be part of AFRY Denmark’s country leadership team and collaborate closely with other leaders to develop AFRY’s presence in Denmark.

You will drive sales, delivery and business development activities in a matrix structure collaborating with other BU’s, BA’s and divisions to ensure the customers and AFRY’s best interest in all situations and decisions.

You will lead a team of 10 direct reports, including 7 Section Managers, a Market Area Manager, a Sales Manager and a Technical Manager. Your organizational responsibility will include 160 employees in total.

The business unit Food is spread across the region with employees working in Aarhus, Kolding, Malmö, Stockholm, Lilleström (Oslo), Vaanta, Kuopio, Tallin and Tartu. The location for the role can be either in Denmark or in the southern part of Sweden. A significant amount of travelling between the offices and in the region must be expected.

Your profile

You posses a solid academic and technical foundation within engineering combined with a commercial degree and/or training. Besides having a significant experience and network in the food industry we expect you to have a quite complete understanding of the whole value chain within project sales and delivery. Ideally you are experienced handling international EPC projects. Due to the significant people responsibility in the role, we expect you to have documented experience of leading skilled and senior managers preferably in an international context.

You are a natural leader and role model and able to engage and lead your team to perform at their best. You offer your employees a coaching, involving and humble way of leading, and it is important for success that you have excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills in both English and a Scandinavia language.

On the personal level you are an open minded, communicative and positive person and a team player who values building good and lasting relations both externally and internally. Your working style is structured and analytical while you also possess a drive for development and results.
