Are you passionate about high-quality software engineering, big data, and cybersecurity? Would you like to spearhead green-field development efforts and coach other developers? Then, join the team of LogPointers on a unique mission to shape the next generation of SIEM software.
In this newly created role, you will be responsible for the coaching and on-boarding of software engineers in the Data Engineering team. You will set the direction and take part in designing and implementing critical cloud-based data streaming solutions used daily by LogPoint's customers and partners worldwide and be responsible for architectural decisions and code reviews related hereto.
The team works with an agile and open-source mindset, and as LogPoint is currently developing a range of new cloud-based products, you will help define the cloud data platform for the years ahead, contributing to the future of LogPoint.
You will be part of the engineering team in Copenhagen, and you will help define the cloud data platform for the years ahead, contributing to the future of LogPoint.
* Lead, motivate and coach engineers in the Data Engineering team, relying on your experience and best practices
* Set the technical direction for the development team and contribute to coding
* Carry out code reviews and implement best practices
* Take part in on-boarding of software engineers to the team
* Ingest, store, and manage large amounts of data
* Design architecture and services for our customers used across the world
* Take ownership of technical topics and areas and ensure end-to-end delivery
* Build reliable and scalable systems and services with an eye for simplicity and automation
* Have daily development changes implemented into production through continuous integration and deployment
* Partnering and collaborating with stakeholders across Engineering, Product, Customer Success, and Sales
* At least 5 years of experience in software development and ideally 2 years as e.g. a Tech Lead or similar experience
* Production experience with highly available, data-intensive, and scalable systems in production in the cloud such as AWS
* Experience with at least one compiled language (e.g. Java or Rust) and one scripted language (e.g. JavaScript or Python)
* Experience with both OO (e.g. Java, C#) and functional languages (e.g. Scala, Erlang, Ocaml, Haskell)
* Experience with and knowledge about log management or search and information retrieval data structures, algorithms, and full-text search databases is an advantage
* Experience with cloud services, data streaming technologies and algorithms, as well as container orchestration such as Kubernetes is a plus
